How to select a die-cast aluminium cleaner

Quick answer

Begin with alloy grade, release agents, machining oils, geometry and finish requirements. Evaluate different alloys and surface conditions separately rather than assuming compatibility from a product name.

Selection and validation

Establish whether the equipment uses spray, immersion or ultrasonic cleaning, together with temperature, foam and rinsing requirements. QOH-212 and QOH-212C address different cleaning needs in the current catalogue; select against the corresponding literature and component trials.

Record oils, finish, rinsing and drying before and after the trial. Where coating follows, validate downstream requirements as well. Do not use unconfirmed concentration, time or temperature as production settings.

Before a component trial

  • Alloy grade, finish and actual contamination.
  • Equipment, trial concentration, temperature, time and water quality.
  • Rinsing, drying, downstream requirements and agreed acceptance criteria.

Check documentation: Product models · Certificate and test report originals · Request model-specific TDS / SDS
